The TDS-118 is available in pneumatic or hydraulic drive for oil spill response or industrial use. This is Elastec's smallest and most portable skimmer for oil spill response, serving a vital role in oil spill clean up of creeks, rivers and lakes and is United States Coast Guard rated at 35 gallons per minute for OSRO (Oil Spill Response Organizations) purposes.

The pneumatic model can be connected directly to a vacuum truck for an efficient oil spill response unit or routine pit cleanup operation.

Available in pneumatic or hydraulic drive the TDS-136 is the oil spill contractors skimmer of choice for fast efficient oil spill recovery. The TDS-136 is ideal for industrial applications such as API separators and cleaning oil containment pits. A large selection of pumps are available for use with the TDS-136, including screw and positive displacement for handling extremely high viscosity products.

The Elastec Magnum series skimmer has four recovery drums. This design provides additional recovery and stability in all applications including rough water. Available in pneumatic or hydraulic, its uses range from oil spill recovery in rivers, lakes and harbor areas to industrial applications that require a skimmer with a very high recovery rate. Lifting rails and brackets are provided for ease of handling. The industrial Magnum 100 can be equipped with the pump mounted on or off the skimmer for long discharge hoses or high head requirements.

The Magnum 200 skimmer with its stable four drum design is well suited for marine spills and large industrial applications. Equipped with the extended side wave breaker the Magnum 200 can withstand extremely rough operating environments.

A center lifting bracket is provided for deployment from boats or for installation in deep industrial pits. The heavy duty constructed Magnum 200 can be equipped with a very large on board diaphragm pump for hard to handle industrial applications.

HYDRAULIC POWER UNITS

Elastec/American Marine power units are engineered to provide peak performance from our drum skimmers. The compatible hydraulic system, with variable speed control, provides infinite drum speed and pump settings for maximum recovery and efficiency. Our engine driven units are portable and can also be used as a source of hydraulic power for operating other equipment.

Elastec/American Marine standard power units are equipped with dependable Kubota diesel engines. However, Yanmar, Lister and Honda engines are optional.

Electric Power Units are TEFC with explosion proof being an option. Electric power units can be matched to the electrical requirements of the installation.

Elastec/ITAS skimmers used in Tananger.

90 tons oil spill consist of diesel oil mixed with water recovered at Shells Terminal in Tananger, Norway in January 2007.
A joint group of Shells special international team from UK worked together with local oil-spill operators using Elastec/ITAS skimmers showed great prefornance and the cleanup were successful.

Cleanup work has been in progress since the leak got discovered.

Oil lenses were put out to prevent that the oil won’t drift away to other areas.
