Defect Repair System (DRS) er et lettvekts rørledningsmuffesystem som markant kutter reparasjons kostnader og minimaliserer belastningen på rørledningen. Disse faktorene, som besørger beskyttelse til den perifere sveisingen, gir systemet en fordel ovenfor reparasjons muffer som pdd er tilgjengelig. Systemet består av en delt muffe og en ekstern enhet. Systemet kan brukes til å reparere både lekkasje og ikke-lekkasje defekter som f.eks hvis man ønsker å forsterke røret på grunn av korrosjon.

What is a mud-plug?

During pipeline and facility maintenance, residual vapors are traditionally controlled using bentonite or "mud-plugs" to seal the open end of pipe. Sloughing, drying and improper installation of the mud plug, however can and has lead to the release of explosive or noxious gases into the maintenance area.
