ITAS AS Norge and Wilton Engineering UK and PDMS UK have sigedn an agreement for mutual services for Engineering, Design,
Fabrication, Surface treatment, Testing and consultancy service. The agreement is based on all ITAS projects not being able handle in
Norway, will be transferred and executed at Wilton Engineering’s yard in Middlesbrough UK. In addition all engineering and consultancy
services will be handled by PDMS offices in Aberdeen.
Wilton Engineering has bought PDMS to able themselves to handle lager projects in there premises in Port Clarence. As a result of
this, it gives the possibility to offer a wider range of external services to the market in this segment for lager offshore construction.
The market in Norway is for the time being extremely pressured, and with this constellation clients in Norway will have a great
option to utilize the capacity at the yard in Port Clarence. This has already resulted in a several contracts for Norwegian subsea Companies.
The yard in Port Clarence has the following capacity.
Wilton Engineering's Hartlepool facilities house engineering offices supported by computer systems with draughting facilities and CAD linked
CNC profiling software. Directly adjacent to the offices is our 30,000 sq/ft covered fabrication shop, with two 50Te and two 10Te overhead
cranes, giving a near 100Te lift capacity.
The fabrication shop houses an extensive range of fabrication equipment including, manual and semi automatic welding machines,
Sub-Arc column and boom, 250Te press, rolls, CAD linked CNC profiling machine, welca and Pipemaster pipe profiling machines.
The business park houses a variety of associated companies including NDT, Stress Relieving, Shot Blasting and Painting and Galvanising. This gives
added benefit to the overall service allowing us to provide a complete service from design through to painting and coating.
In addition to the main fabrication shop we have a 10,000sq/ft pipe fabrication shop serviced by a 20Te overhead crane, here we can
segregate and weld all exotic materials.

PD&MS was formed in 2002 to provide both a responsive and proactive engineering service to operators and drilling contractors. Members of the team jointly have a ten-year proven track record supporting various North Sea assets which has earned the company a 'can do' reputation backed by genuine results. PD&MS personnel individually have up to 25 years operations and engineering experience. They understand and appreciate the culture of both the production and drilling sectors and the criticality and limitations of working within operator programmes and HSEQ legislation. Consequently, the trouble-free provision of professional, competent, well-trained and motivated onshore and offshore personnel has enabled PD&MS clients to continually meet and exceed the twin demands of increased activity and operational efficiency.
